Job summary

NEW Cooperative is seeking a safety‑driven driver/operator to support agricultural operations in Iowa. This role focuses on operating fertilizer tender trucks, applying crop protection products, and handling fertilizer and lime with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The position requires a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements, the ability to obtain a Commercial Applicators License, and a DOT physical every two years.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Applicators License.
• Must pass a DOT physical every 2 years.
• High school diploma or GED with 1-3 months of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Seasonal time commitments and ability to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer tender trucks.
• Apply crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizer, and lime.
• Fill and transport NH3 equipment.
• Load and unload products from vehicles.
• Operate forklift/loader to move materials.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
