Job summary

RiceTec, Inc. is seeking an experienced agronomy and operations leader to manage crop production and plant processes at a key location in Texas. You will drive yield targets, oversee drying, storage, cleaning, and packaging, and ensure compliance with ISO and internal protocols.

You will train Technologists and seasonal staff, monitor data entry, and collaborate on cost-saving process improvements. On-site work is required with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in agriculture or related field.
• Experience in crop production, rice preferred, and CCA status desirable.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage crop in assigned areas to achieve yield and quality targets.
• Oversee plant operations for drying, storage, cleaning, and packaging.
• Lead safety efforts and training for staff.
• Ensure tasks meet protocols, timelines, and ISO requirements.
• Train Technologists and seasonal staff, mentor, and verify competencies.
• Ensure data entry and accurate record keeping for operations.
• Contribute to process improvements to boost yields and reduce costs.
• Manage local budgets and overtime for hourly staff.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• On-site work is required.
