Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh, NC seeks a Temporary Agroecology Lab Coordinator to support the Agroecology Lab, the undergraduate Agroecology Major, and the Agroecology Education Farm. You will develop relationships with farmers and public/private partners to advance collaborative research and community outreach, while coordinating activities across the Lake Wheeler Lab and Farm programs.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis, reporting and communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Network with public sector organizations to improve access to food and education.
• Create outreach and education materials for the Agroecology Major and related programs.
• Assist with long-term demonstration cropping systems and data collection at field labs.
• Assist with grant-writing.
• Set up long-term data collection and automation (weather station, soil moisture probes, harvest records).
• Maintain Agroecology Lab and Education Farm websites.
• Lead administrative tasks for farm tours.
