Job summary

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets seeks an Agriculture Water Quality Program Coordinator II to provide technical and financial assistance to Vermont farms, primarily coordinating the Vermont Pay for Performance program that offers conservation payments to reduce phosphorus losses from agricultural fields.

The coordinator will administer grants and contracts, manage technical assistance providers, compile farm data, conduct outreach, and occasionally visit farms across the state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, environmental conservation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with grant and contract management.
• Familiarity with agricultural conservation practices and nutrient management planning.
• Proficiency with GIS/mapping software and Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid transportation for statewide farm visits and fieldwork.
