GROWMARK's Evergreen FS in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Safety Intern for Summer 2027 to support safety, maintenance, and operational improvement initiatives. The role offers hands-on exposure to asset management, preventive maintenance programs, digital inspections, and operational technology systems that drive safety and efficiency.

The internship requires pursuing a related degree, strong communication and teamwork skills, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at internship start.
• Interest in safety, maintenance, operations, technology, or process improvement.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight as needed.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Follows Code of Conduct and safety policies; performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine safety inspections and safety audits.
• Support safety documentation, inspection records, and maintenance tracking.
• Help ensure equipment, facilities, and vehicles meet safety standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and safety reporting.
• Participate in hazard identification and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing and delivering safety training materials.
• Observe and document safety practices and suggest improvements.
• Travel to company locations to support safety and operational projects.
• Gain exposure to EHS programs and regulatory requirements.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
