The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking an Agriculture Project Manager to lead agricultural engineering projects in Maumee, OH. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, budgets, and schedules, and mentor staff to ensure successful project outcomes.

Strong communication with clients and business development support are valued, with PE licensure preferred to advance our Civil/Municipal practice in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering required or in progress.
• PE licensure preferred; active certification a plus.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
• Strong AutoCAD design experience and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage projects, staff and budgets effectively.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work across disciplines in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage agricultural-focused engineering projects from proposal through completion.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams.
• Serve as primary client contact and provide technical guidance.
• Support business development with proposals and due diligence.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff for delivery.
• Oversee contract budgets and project financial performance.
• Perform and oversee civil, agricultural, and environmental design work.

Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a (position) to assist with our projects in North Canton, OH!

The Agriculture Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from proposal through completion, mentoring staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and serving as a key point of contact for clients. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will actively support client relationships and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage agricultural-focused engineering projects, including AutoCAD-based design, permitting, and construction observation and certification
• Serve as a primary client contact, providing clear communication, project updates, and technical guidance
• Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in due diligence activities
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff to ensure successful project delivery
• Oversee and manage contract budgets and project financial performance
• Mentor, develop, and manage staff while supporting office and company growth initiatives
• Perform and oversee general civil, agricultural, and environmental engineering design work
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams including Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Civil, Agricultural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction Services
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience
• Strong AutoCAD design experience
• Proven ability to manage projects, staff, and budgets effectively
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in a team-oriented environment
