Job summary

Illinois Farm Bureau offers an internship opportunity designed to introduce you to the operations of a county farm bureau and leadership in agriculture. You will work with County Farm Bureau managers to plan programs and events, and learn the organization's functions.

Responsibilities include planning events and programs for members, preparing information for board meetings, attending monthly board meetings, and leading a membership engagement project while occasional evenings and weekends are

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in agriculture or related field.
• Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2027 to early August 2027.
• Internship may be extended part-time through fall 2027 and spring 2028.
• Graduation date of August 2027 or beyond.
• Interest in becoming a County Farm Bureau manager after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Plan events and programs for members.
• Prepare information for board meetings.
• Attend monthly board meetings.
• Be in charge of completing a membership engagement project.
• Work some nights and weekends.
