Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College – Lafayette campus is seeking part-time, temporary Lab Assistant positions in agriculture labs. Responsibilities include assisting Program Chair and Faculty, setting up lab equipment, maintaining gear, and cleaning up after labs. Applicants must be enrolled as agriculture students and have good Excel skills.

Experience with operating horticulture equipment and greenhouse operations is preferred; background checks will be conducted as part of hiring.

Qualifications

• Part-time, temporary positions for each semester on an as-needed basis.
• Enrolled as an agriculture student at Ivy Tech Lafayette campus; computer literate with good Excel knowledge.
• Previous experience operating and maintaining agriculture equipment preferred; familiarity with horticulture equipment and greenhouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience operating and maintaining agriculture equipment. Familiar with horticulture equipment and green house operations.
