Qualifications
- Journalism degree and/or significant newsroom experience with AP style.
- Agricultural background or interest in learning about agriculture.
- Photography and video experience or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with publishing software or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with digital news platforms or willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Research and write multiple engaging articles each week.
- Cover ag-related events with quick turnaround for publication.
- Hand in clean, fact-checked copy.
- Assist with editing and proofreading with attention to detail.
- Identify and explore trends in agriculture and rural life.
- Develop reliable resources for interviews, quotes and background.
- Work both independently and with a team.
- Be a positive force in our newsroom.
