Job summary

Buchheit Family of Companies seeks a General Manager for its Agricultural Division, overseeing labor and production at the Biehle and McBride facilities. You will manage grain origination activities, logistics, and quality control, while supporting sales and nutrition teams in delivery and customer service.

You will lead safety programs, drive operational excellence, and promote growth strategies across Agronomy, Grain Merchandising, Grass Seed, Animal Feeds, and Retail Store Support.

Qualifications

• Team building, develop and retain staff with good delegation.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, writing, listening; strategic problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written presentations across levels.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage labor and production staff at Biehle and McBride locations.
• Oversee logistics and grading in fescue buying operations, locally and remotely.
• Support Sales and Nutrition Managers with employee support in sales, delivery and quality control.
• Lead safety program, coordinate with Corporate Safety and Loss Prevention.
• Drive operational excellence in efficiency and quality across the Division.
• Promote Agronomy, Grain Merchandising, Grass Seed, Animal Feeds, Vet Supplies and Retail Store Support sales.
• Develop strategic growth plans for the Agricultural Division with executive leadership.
• Assist harvest workload and ensure grain quality and feed ingredients quality.
• Be visible during harvest; additional hours will be required to manage harvest flow.
