CHS, Inc. has an opportunity to join our agronomy team in Shipman, IL as an Agriculture Applicator. Daily, you will operate facility equipment, drive machinery, and apply crop protection products in the field to efficiently provide seed, crop protection, and application services to central and southern Illinois. Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under supervision, using equipment such as high clearance sprayers or floaters.
• Work courteously and professionally with customers.
• Educate customers about products, application techniques, and ongoing support.
• Assist sales staff in ensuring order accuracy and customer needs are met.
• Perform warehouse duties, including operating loaders, forklifts, and conducting maintenance.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using heavy or light machinery, including bulk and packaged materials.
• Deliver products to customers as needed.
• Perform general labor tasks such as maintenance, groundskeeping, equipment inspection, and record keeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Knowledge of agricultural production, operations, and application.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Additional Qualifications

• Must meet DOT and company requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and mobile equipment.
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Applicator's license, chemical application experience, forklift certification, and farming background preferred.
• Pre-employment screening may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physical exam, and FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance, based on job requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs.
