Job summary

Ratto Bros., Inc. in Modesto, CA is seeking a Business Analyst to support executive decision making across operations, finance, supply chain and sales.

You will translate performance data into clear narratives, develop dashboards, and drive cost control and productivity improvements for leafy greens production and distribution. The role requires 2-3 years in business analytics or related fields, a Bachelor's degree, and hands-on experience with Power BI, Excel, Access, SQL, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, agriculture, produce, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
• Experience with Power BI and ability to build, create and maintain BI reports/dashboards.
• Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel
• Experience with SQL, data visualization tools, or agricultural software platforms.
• Experience with ERP systems
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to assess data, identify trends, and support decision‑making.
• Candidates should possess skills in Business Process evaluation and improvement to map workflows and recommend efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational, financial, and production data across planting, harvesting, packing, cooling, and distribution activities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for farm operations, yield performance, labor efficiency, and inventory management.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to crop yields, shrink, quality, labor utilization, and transportation costs.
• Translate data and analysis into clear, persuasive narratives that connect performance trends to business decisions, not just charts and numbers
• Partner with operations and management teams to improve business processes and operational efficiencies.
• Support forecasting and planning activities, including acreage planning, harvest schedules, demand forecasting, and budget tracking.
• Assist with cost analysis and profitability reporting by field, crop variety, customer, and growing region.
