Qualifications

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administrative experience preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Ability to work accurately with detailed financial information
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Agricultural industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Associate degree or coursework in accounting/business preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered

Responsibilities

• Assist with reconciliation of prepaid inventory accounts.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation for internal management.
• Maintain organized accounting files and records while ensuring confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
• The position may involve assisting with some or all of the following accounting and administrative functions:
• Assist in reviewing and closing monthly QuickBooks balance sheets and income statements for multiple entities.
• Support preparation and maintenance of financial reports.
• Assist with preparation of year-end closing and supporting documentation for outside CPA firms.
• Assist with accounts payable during peak agricultural season (June through November), as needed.
