Job summary

AGCO is seeking a Validation Engineer for the Gold Harvesting Team in Hesston, KS. You will build and maintain prototypes, perform field modifications, and troubleshoot CAN-BUS, mechanical, and electrical systems during testing.

You will report findings, support safety validation, and collaborate with farmers, dealers, and engineering to validate machine performance and share insights from the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 1 year of field/technical testing experience in agriculture or off-highway equipment.
• Must be self-motivated with ability to travel extensively; agricultural experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to convey test results and root cause analyses to internal teams.
• Experience troubleshooting CAN-BUS, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain assigned prototypes.
• Make field modifications to prototypes independently or via instructions from design engineering groups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CAN-BUS systems during field operations and testing.
• Report accurate test observations, results, part failures, performance data, and reliability issues; recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with farmers, dealers, field teams, and engineering to validate machine performance and address safety concerns.
