AGCO is seeking an experienced Sr Field Validation Engineer for a remote role based in the Jackson, MN area. The position involves coordinating field tests, collecting and analyzing data, and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CAN‑BUS systems in agricultural/off‑highway equipment.

Travel up to 75% is required during the growing season, with occasional visits to Jackson for training and labs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with strong mechanical aptitude.
• 5+ years of field testing or technical experience in agricultural/off-highway machinery, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CAN‑BUS systems.
• Travel up to 75% in the region during the growing season; occasional travel to Jackson, MN for training/meetings.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to engineering teams, programs, and leadership.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and data acquisition tools; meet physical driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design to plan and conduct extensive field testing, including selecting test locations, coordinating with cooperators, and traveling as required.
• Collect, organize, and analyze performance data using instrumentation such as data loggers, and report accurate test results, failures, and improvement recommendations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CAN‑BUS systems during field operations and testing activities.
• Collaborate with farmers, dealers, field teams, and engineering to validate machine performance, address safety concerns, and share industry insights.
• Represent Validation Engineering in design reviews and project milestones while maintaining equipment condition, appearance, and security throughout the testing process.
