You will clean facilities, machinery, and staff areas, manage waste, and report risks, with flexibility to work across multiple sites in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in industrial/agricultural or food production environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical stamina for manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to operate basic cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to travel to different operational sites within the Upington region.
• Strong communication skills for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of packing sheds, storage facilities, and processing areas.
• Clean and maintain agricultural machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
• Sweep, wash, and sanitize floors and surfaces in operational zones.
• Manage waste disposal and ensure recycling initiatives are followed.
• Clean and maintain staff facilities, including restrooms and break areas.
• Ensure the security and proper storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report maintenance needs, pest sightings, or potential bio-security risks to management.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe handling of cleaning agents.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects during off-season periods or scheduled downtime.
