Job summary

American Implement is seeking a skilled Service Technician for our Syracuse, Kansas dealership. The role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing agricultural equipment to keep producers running at full capacity.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in equipment maintenance, John Deere credentials and strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, with a focus on safe, professional service and continued learning.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience in maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
• John Deere Tech graduate, John Deere Technician experience or Certificate of completion from a mechanical or industrial arts training, vocational school, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on agricultural equipment.
• Perform diagnosis and plan effective and efficient repairs of machinery.
• Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Follow production schedules and requirements for completion of assignments.
• Participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment in good condition and working order.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
