Job summary

J.J. Nichting in West Liberty is seeking an organized, dependable Parts Specialist to join our team. You’ll help customers find the right parts and components for agricultural equipment while delivering friendly, accurate service.

In this role you’ll manage daily parts orders, assist customers in person and by phone, support inventory control, and collaborate with the Parts Manager to ensure departments run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with equipment parts.
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment and parts identification.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.
• Ability to lift 50–70 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check in parts orders daily and coordinate distribution.
• Serve as primary contact for the Parts Department for customers.
• Assist with parts inquiries, identification, and purchases.
• Maintain inventory levels with the Parts Manager.
• Participate in ongoing inventory processes for accuracy.
• Keep the Parts Department organized and efficient.
• Identify opportunities to improve parts processes.
• Collaborate with other departments and locations.
