Job summary

Qualifications

• General Experience Requirement for the GS-5 grade level: Three years of general work experience that is progressively responsible (one year equivalent to GS-4) showing problem analysis, data gathering, planning and oral/written communication.
• Education for the GS-5 grade level: Four-year bachelor's degree.
• Specialized Experience for GS-7: One year at GS-5 level in credit analysis and farm loan servicing; or graduate education in relevant fields; combination acceptable.
• For GS-9: One year at GS-7 level in credit principles to assess loan soundness; or master's/2 years graduate education; combination acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Farm Loan Managers and Officers in lending activities, closing, disbursement, monitoring, liquidation and servicing of agricultural loans.
• Follow qualification standards and ensure application materials show required experience.
• Assist in evaluating financial factors and credit risks for loan programs and suggest improvements.
