Duties may include: Assisting in all areas of grain handling, which may include truck and rail operations such as loading and unloading crops or materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Operating conveyance equipment used in the placement and transfer of grain and grain products. Handling incoming and outbound grain, ensuring grain quality, maintaining equipment, and using proper aeration techniques to maintain quality and minimize shrinkage. Ensuring proper segregation of inbound grain, monitoring blending of outbound grain, removing defective products, and maintaining cleanliness of handling areas and facilities. Monitoring equipment and reporting or correcting failures. Attending safety training and meetings, reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately. Compliance with SOC/OES 45-2091 activities. Drug testing will be conducted after hire at the employer’s expense, as required by safety regulations. Possible weekend or holiday work.
