Job summary

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Mechanic I to maintain, repair, and diagnose small engines and hydraulic systems on agricultural equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, inventory tasks, and ensure safe operation to minimize downtime.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities include dismantling equipment, repairing components, fabricating parts, and testing repaired gear before return.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining small equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment with safety focus.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations, trucks, and heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair small engines and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Dismantle equipment and replace defective components.
• Service and test repaired equipment before leaving shop.
• Fabricate parts as needed.
• Maintain repair and inventory records.
• Keep a clean, safe work environment and follow safety rules.
