Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment, a John Deere dealer with 18 locations across Indiana and Ohio, seeks an Advanced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment. This role blends shop work with field service to meet customer needs and is committed to safety and quality.

You will participate in ongoing training, stay current on equipment tech, mentor apprentices, and ensure timely completion of service orders while upholding TRU LAND's standards and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of service repair experience preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs using manuals with limited re-work.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on off-road/heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and forklift license preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment, and some competitive equipment.
• Shop and field diagnostics/repairs as required.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and tools needed for job tasks.
• Participate in John Deere University and dealer training.
• Maintain knowledge of John Deere products; mentor apprentices as requested.
• Complete reports and track materials for work orders.
