Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment is a John Deere dealer with 18 locations in Indiana and Ohio, serving residential, commercial and agricultural customers. We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn and garden equipment.

You will work with John Deere and other brands, participate in ongoing training, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of service orders in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required, Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated metrics performance preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in ag/turf equipment.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes; basic computer use.
• Team-oriented with effective verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license; forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere Lawn & Garden Equipment and other brands.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment needed for duties.
• Participates in John Deere University training and dealer-led training.
• Mentors Apprentices and Students as requested.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere products and safety rules.
• Completes reports and tracks materials used; accountable for billable time.
