Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension in Oneida County, NY seeks an Association Program Manager to advance agricultural economic development. You will develop and deliver educational programs, coordinate with Cornell University faculty, and engage with producers, service providers, and community partners to implement the Ag and Farmland Protection Plan.

The role requires a Bachelor's in agriculture or related field, strong communication, grant management, and the ability to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, economics, marketing, business, or related field.
  • Experience communicating with diverse groups including partners, stakeholders, government officials, and staff.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and implement projects and educational programs.
  • Capability to manage grant projects and contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver innovative educational programs on agricultural economic development.
  • Coordinate with Cornell University faculty and regional ag communities for program guidance.
  • Engage with producers and service providers to meet community needs and Plans of Work.
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress and effectiveness, reporting findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist with grant ideas, program development, and budget considerations.
  • Provide timely, accurate information and build relationships with community partners.
