Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group in Sarasota (Florida) seeks an Agribusiness Underwriting Technician Trainee to learn processing of commercial property, casualty and Farm lines within an assigned territory. Training includes quoting, issuing, amending, canceling and evaluating policies while assisting underwriters and agents.

The role offers growth within a trusted property & casualty provider and a path to underwriting expertise, located in Sarasota or Lake Mary offices with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Knowledge of lines or coverages, rating rules and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with virtual conferencing technology (MS Teams, Zoom, etc)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to learn through self-study, in addition to formal training.
• The ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Currently seeking a detail-oriented individual for our Agribusiness team. We have an opportunity for a developmental Underwriting Tech Trainee. This individual will learn to process all lines of commercial property and casualty business, as well as Farm lines, which are a combination of personal and commercial business, within an assigned territory. Training includes learning to quote, issue new and renewal policies, amend existing policies, cancellations, endorsements and evaluation of policy files, providing technical assistance to the underwriters and assisting agents in their efforts to write business. This position will be based in either our corporate office in Sarasota, FL or our branch office in Lake Mary, FL.

The salary range for this position is $16.91-$26.04 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
