Job summary

River Valley AgCredit in Murray, KY is seeking an Agricultural Loan Officer to serve as a trusted financial partner for farmers and agribusiness. You will originate, structure, and present loan proposals for farm operating loans, real estate, equipment, and agribusiness financing, while building long-term relationships with producers in Calloway County and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of farm management, agricultural finance, and ag industry trends.
• Experience in agricultural, commercial, or rural lending preferred; strong ag industry experience required.
• Willingness to reside in Murray, KY area or relocate for the role.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop and expand relationships with farm families, ag producers, and rural landowners through farm visits and community engagement.
• Prepare, structure, and present loan proposals for farm operating loans, real estate, equipment, and agribusiness financing.
• Evaluate borrower eligibility, repayment ability, collateral, and other risk factors in accordance with policies.
• Administer loans responsibly, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular farm visits to assess collateral, monitor operations, and strengthen member relationships.
• Represent River Valley AgCredit positively within the community and promote the cooperative’s mission.
• Actively pursue new lending opportunities and contribute to portfolio growth through prospecting and referrals.
