Job summary

CLA, a leading national firm, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for our CAAS practice in Washington (Tri-Cities, Yakima, Wenatchee or Moses Lake). You will perform CFO functions for clients, shape financial policy, drive strategy, and oversee budgeting, planning, and cash flow while coordinating audits and client engagements.

Required: 8 years in senior accounting roles, Bachelor's degree; CPA preferred but not required; knowledge of QuickBooks Online; willingness to travel and manage

Qualifications

• 8 years' experience as Assistant Controller/Controller or equivalent.
• Agribusiness industry experience highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks (Online) highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Comfortable multitasking and strong client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team.
• Set financial policy and actively participate in overall client strategy.
• Drive capital planning, risk management, KPI analysis, and board interactions.
• Lead financial administration, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee long‑term budget planning and cost management.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure accurate financial records.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a service leader to clients.
• Develop external business networks and contribute as a thought leader.
