Job summary

A senior living community in Detroit seeks a Full Time Service Coordinator to assist residents in maintaining a good quality of life. The role involves coordinating programs, assessing needs, and providing resources to support independent living. Ideal candidates will have an associate's degree in social work, psychology, or gerontology, with experience in social services for the elderly. Qualifications

• Minimum associate's degree or equivalent in social work, psychology, or gerontology preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in social service delivery with the elderly and/or family population is a plus.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and resources in the area served.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs and services to help residents maintain quality of life.
• Assist in assessing resident and family needs and available resources.
• Network with community organizations to provide services.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and manage resident files.
• Engage residents to identify needs and promote involvement in programs.
• Coordinate home care services to support independent living.
