Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Outreach Program Coordinator to join the ADRC team, working with the Outreach, Recruitment and Education Core to meet recruitment goals and deliver educational presentations on Alzheimer's disease and healthy brain aging.

The role emphasizes engagement with Black/African American and Spanish-speaking communities and administers psychosocial evaluations for older adults in research studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, social/health psychology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating projects/programs.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Recruit older adults from the community into ADRCs longitudinal studies and related trials, focusing on underserved groups.
• Coordinate community events and provide education on Alzheimer's disease and brain aging; events occur on-site, in the community, or via Zoom.
• Engage with partner community agencies, senior centers, churches and other groups to organize outreach and recruitment events.
• Administer psychosocial evaluations to assess psychological, emotional and social determinants of health and cognition.
