Job summary

The Aging Well Lab in the Center for Vital Longevity at The University of Texas at Dallas, under the direction of Kendra Seaman, Ph.D., is currently seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant I beginning in October to assist with a newly funded research project. The position requires a minimum one-year commitment (renewable).

We are interested in what motivates people, how that influences their decisions, and how this may change across adulthood.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.
• Preferred qualifications include a BA or BS in psychology, neuroscience, behavioral economics, data science, or a related field.
• Experience with human subjects data collection, organizational, time management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
• Prior experience with experimental design, programming of behavioral tasks, and data analysis; technical skills (e.g. Python, R, Unix) are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and implementation of online and in-person behavioral experiments.
• Recruitment and testing of human subjects.
• Coordinate and train research assistants.
• Preprocess and analyze experimental data.
