Job description

Our pharma client is seeking an Agile Specialist to join their team for a 1-year freelance assignment offering 40 hours a week. This is a remote role, with core hours from Mon-Fri 8-3pm PST, accommodating various time zones.

In order to be considered for the Agile Specialist role, you must have:

• Program Management and/or Scrum Master experience
• Tech industry experience
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Collaboration & communication skills

Summary: As the Agile Specialist, you will report to the Manager, Agile Practices and collaborate with key stakeholders to address technical challenges.

You Will:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Promote Agile best practices and educate team members
• Remove obstacles hindering progress
• Coordinate communication across teams and stakeholders
• Track milestones, deliverables, and timelines
• Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog management
• Ensure engineers have necessary requirements and UX designs
• Support JIRA management and other tools
• Provide agile metrics like burndown charts and velocity

Required Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
• 5+ years in an Agile environment with Scrum or Kanban knowledge
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability
