Job summary

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to lead an Agile software team in Chantilly, VA. You will guide the adoption of Agile practices, coordinate with PM and architects, and contribute to new capabilities in a containerized environment.

This role requires strong C++/Python experience, familiarity with GitLab/Atlassian tools, and willingness to support on-site customer work in Chantilly and surrounding areas. Citizenship and polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an Agile software development team (5+ members)
• Strong background in Agile processes and software development lifecycle
• Proficient in C++ and Python; experience with containerized deployments
• Ability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA and travel to customer sites as needed
• Must have full scope polygraph and US citizenship
• Preferred: DSP and geolocation knowledge

Responsibilities

• Leads an Agile software development team of ~5 senior/mid/junior developers
• Implements Agile processes toward CMMI level 3
• Collaborates with Program Manager, Lead Architect, and SD Delivery Lead to set priorities
• Contributes to develop new capabilities in a containerized environment
• Supports RRC products on-site at customer locations (Chantilly area) and at Chantilly office
• Ensures solutions meet customer requirements across engineering teams
• Assists System Engineering with documentation
• Communicates to influence practices and processes
• Participates in all product lifecycle phases
• Applies engineering, software, and math principles in development
• Provides input for new products and processes
