Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Scrum Master and Development Delivery Manager in Plano, Texas, to guide Agile teams delivering software for onshore and offshore vendors. This hybrid role supports quarterly prioritized deliverables and requires strong Scrum practices and delivery oversight.

You will coach teams, work with product owners on backlog clarity, track KPIs and SLAs, and optimize capacity across distributed teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience in tracking Agile delivery metrics, optimizing capacity utilization, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with product owners to clarify backlog and project objectives.
• Assist in sprint/release estimation and planning.
• Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
• Coach and mentor teams on Agile practices and methodologies.
• Track and report on team performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs, velocity, burn-down, etc.).
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Manage delivery across onshore and offshore development teams.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master and Development Delivery Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of successfully guiding Agile teams in software development projects. In the Scrum Master role, you will collaborate closely with client teams to facilitate Agile processes, ensure adherence to Scrum principles, and foster continuous improvement. As Development Delivery Manager, you will manage Agile delivery, oversee resource allocation, and monitor capacity while ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for outsourced development teams, which include a mix of onshore and offshore developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with product owners to ensure a clear understanding of the product backlog and project objectives.
• Assist in the accurate estimation and planning of sprints and releases.
• Proactively identify and remove impediments that may hinder team progress.
• Foster a team culture focused on continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Ensure the team consistently adheres to Agile principles and Scrum practices.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies, promoting best practices.
• Track and report on team performance metrics, including adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Metrics tracked include burn-down charts, velocity, story completion, control charts, and cumulative flow diagrams, dependency mapping, capacity planning
• Maintain awareness of both individual team member performance and overall team dynamics. Provide regular updates to the Program Lead on the health of the Scrum team.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate project status, identify risks, and address issues.
• Facilitate open and effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
