Job summary

Tetrad Digital Integrity LLC is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to drive a large-scale software and hardware integration program in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on facilitating SAFe ceremonies, removing impediments, and coaching teams toward PI commitments and sprint goals.

Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance, possess Jira experience, and have a track record of delivering complex technical solutions in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (DoD TS/SCI) required.
• Current Security+ or equivalent.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or PMI-ACP certification.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 6–10 years.
• Experience as a Scrum Master for software or technical teams; Jira experience.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and time management skills; ability to mentor junior Scrum Masters.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate self-organizing Agile teams toward PI commitments and sprint goals; protect against scope creep.
• Identify and remove impediments; coordinate with RTE/PM to implement solutions.
• Facilitate communication across the ART and provide status updates to management.
• Support and enforce Scrum processes; ensure Definition of Done is met.
• Partner with Product Owners to review features and craft User Stories.
• Lead SAFe ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and PI Planning.
• Maintain team information radiators and share metrics to identify improvements.
• Coach teams on Agile principles; assess dynamics and drive maturity.
• Promote learning through pair programming and cross-functional training.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters throughout project execution.

Tetrad Digital Integrity (TDI) is a leading-edge cybersecurity firm with a mission to safeguard and protect our customersfrom increasing threats and vulnerabilities in this digital age.

TDI is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to support a large-scale software and hardware integration effort. This role will collaborate with team members, fellow Agile Scrum Masters, and support personnel to ensure team commitments established during Program Increment (PI) Planning are met. Responsibilities include facilitating cross-team communication, identifying impediments to team progress, and developing mitigation plans. The Agile Scrum Master will also lead discussions to analyze and triage issues and identify and implement process improvements. Strong attention to detail and a focus on task completion are critical.

This is a fully onsite opportunity requiring a daily commute to the Washington, DC area. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate self-organizing Agile teams to ensure progress toward Program Increment (PI) commitments and sprint goals while protecting against scope creep.
• Identify and remove team impediments, coordinating with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Project Manager to implement solutions as needed.
• Facilitate team communication, coordination, and collaboration across the Agile Release Train (ART), while providing status updates to management.
• Support and enforce Scrum processes, ensuring teams understand and meet the Definition of Done.
• Partner with Product Owners to review and prioritize features and develop User Stories that meet Feature acceptance criteria.
• Lead and facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives, and PI Planning.
• Maintain team information radiators and collect, evaluate, and share metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles, assess team dynamics, and drive continuous improvement, productivity, and Agile maturity.
• Promote a collaborative learning environment through practices such as pair programming, cross-functional training, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters, providing guidance and coaching throughout project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.Ability to pass additional customer suitability screening(s) prior to start.
• Current Security+ or equivalent/higher.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience serving as a Scrum Master for a software development or other technical team, including experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across diverse systems and teams.
• Ability and willingness to mentor and train junior Scrum Masters.

PAY RANGE:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $145,000. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
