The Opportunity

CACI is seeking an Agile Release Manager to work on a mission-critical DOW system. In this role, you will apply systems thinking, Agile leadership, and organizational acumen to orchestrate multiple teams of software and digital signal processing engineers — driving predictable, incremental delivery to meet customer commitments and mission objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong servant leadership skills, excels in facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and is comfortable navigating complex technical and organizational environments. The Agile Release Manager will help ensure that the Scrum teams operate smoothly and collaboratively, impediments are removed quickly, and delivery outcomes align to the stakeholders’ release objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Drive release execution transparency through clear communication of priorities, risks, and delivery health to engineering leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Implement and continuously improve release and Agile flow management practices using delivery metrics to increase predictability, reduce late-stage integration churn, and strengthen stakeholder confidence.
  • Work with the Chief Engineer, Operations Manager, and PM to establish release strategy and deployment planning across multi-disciplinary teams and external partners
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives) for multiple scrum teams.
  • Remove team impediments rapidly, escalating blockers when necessary to maintain sprint commitments. Safeguard the team by maintaining focus on sprint goals and minimizing outside disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners Proxies to ensure the backlog is well defined, prioritized, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Track, maintain, and communicate team performance metrics such as velocity, burndown, and capacity planning.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile best practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile concepts.
  • Assist teams in developing clear documentation including process flows, working agreements, definitions of done, and sprint artifacts. Facilitate PI Planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and cross-team synchronization ceremonies to ensure aligned and predictable delivery.
Qualifications
Required
  • Required: 8+ years of experience in software release management, serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator within enterprise IT, data, or cloud environments
  • Proven ability to lead Agile release trains or multi-team Agile programs, including facilitation of PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt ceremonies.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles including requirements management, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation
  • Familiarity with branching strategies, build pipelines, and deployment planning in a multi-team environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical delivery status into program-level risk and decision framing for senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to dependency management and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to coach product teams through change and guide them toward improved performance.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery in support of a federal program, especially DOW or IC.
  • Ability to mentor junior Scrum Masters.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related subject
  • Certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, etc.
Desired
  • Experience using JIRA or similar tools, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and version control workflows in a DevSecOps environment
  • Knowledge of scaled Agile practices (SAFe or CACI Agile Solutions Factory).
  • Familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with product delivery programs, including custom-built hardware.
  • Familiarity with SIGINT systems.
