Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Agile Product Owner for the Payload & Ground Software Engineering organization. The role leads technical vision, prioritizes epics and manages the team’s backlog to align with customer needs and program increments. Requires SCI clearance and extensive Agile experience.
The position is on-site in Morrisville, NC or Fairfax, VA with no remote option, offering a competitive package and benefits tied to DoD programs.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.
- 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Level 5) or 10+ years with Master’s or 8+ with PhD.
- 3+ years’ experience in a software Agile delivery framework.
- 2+ years of product roadmap development experience.
- Experience converting requirements into Epics, Features and User Stories.
- Experience presenting software demos to users and leadership.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence; strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Represent Product Management and voice of customers on the Agile development team.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define work for the team within a program increment.
- Prioritize areas of work and ensure team understands acceptance criteria and backlog priorities.
- Lead a product development team and drive the technical roadmap for Space Systems.
