Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead agile software delivery for Advanced Energy programs in the utility sector.

You will guide Scrum teams, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications while transitioning to product-oriented development and ensuring high-quality releases. You will work with Development, Operations, and Product Management to prioritize work, manage backlogs, and deliver incremental value through regular software releases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer/technology-related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in software development or technology delivery.
• 3-5 years’ experience in technical project management in Agile environments.
• Experience managing technology projects in utility or tech sectors.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum with hands-on Scrum Master experience.
• Strong planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate delivery across multiple initiatives and teams.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
• Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Agile (CSM, SAFe).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Experience delivering SaaS/enterprise/multi-tenant apps.
• Experience in the utility industry or related fields.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile project teams using Scrum to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Manage full project lifecycle from planning to releases for multiple programs.
• Create and maintain project plans, work plans, and release schedules.
• Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Drive flow of work, remove impediments, monitor velocity, ensure release readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams on capacity and timelines.
• Maintain backlogs to ensure upcoming work is defined and ready for sprint.
• Communicate status and technical insights to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks; manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor milestones and take corrective actions to stay on time and budget.
• Remove blockers across teams to maintain productivity.
• Coordinate completion of deliverables for software releases.
• Model professional conduct and leadership.
