Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Austin, TX seeks an Agile Data Migration expert—Software engineer with 8+ years’ experience. You will design extraction logic for Item, BOM, Change and File Vault, and build high-volume extract programs using SQL/PLSQL and SDKs.

You will validate data quality, preserve full revision history, and optimize performance while coordinating with PLM, DBAs, SMEs, and integration teams to ensure successful cloud migration readiness.

Qualifications

• Oracle Agile PLM is a required tool/technique.
• Data Migration experience is required.
• Experience with PLM data structures, Item, BOM, Change, AML, and File Vault is expected.
• Demonstrated ability to design extraction logic for high-volume objects and revisions.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL and SDK-based extraction tools.
• Ability to validate data quality and perform error triage.
• Experience with end-to-end data migration and cloud ingestion preparations.
• Ability to collaborate with PLM, DBAs, SMEs and integration teams.
• Ability to produce design documents and technical specifications for RICEFW.

Responsibilities

• Agile Schema Analysis to design extraction logic for PLM data.
• Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL/SDK extract programs for high-volume data.
• Validate data quality, profiling and referential integrity checks.
• Implement revision-based extraction for full history migration.
• Tune queries, indexes and batch logic to improve throughput.
• Handle File Vault data extraction, including attachments and metadata.
• Deliver staging/transformation files for downstream mapping.
• Participate in dry runs and UAT, troubleshooting failures.
• Collaborate with cross‑team stakeholders to align mapping and validation.
• Produce documentation like BRD, conceptual/technical designs and specs for RICEFW.

Scope of activities and deliverables (not exhaustive list)

• Agile Schema Analysis — Understand Item, BOM, Change, AML, and File Vault structures to design accurate extraction logic.
• Extraction Script Development — Build and optimize SQL/PLSQL/SDK‑based extract programs for high‑volume objects and revisions.
• Data Quality Validation — Perform profiling, completeness checks, referential integrity validation, and error triage.
• Revision‑Based Extraction — Implement logic to extract full revision history, not just latest rev, for PLM+ migration needs.
• Performance Optimization — Tune queries, indexes, and batch logic to reduce extraction time and improve throughput.
• File Vault Handling — Extract attachments, manage file paths, metadata, and prepare content for cloud ingestion.
• Staging & Transformation Support — Deliver clean, structured extract files/tables for downstream transformation and mapping.
• Dry Run & UAT Support — Participate in iterative mock runs, troubleshoot failures, and refine extraction logic.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration — Work with PLM+, DBAs, SMEs, and integration teams to align mapping, sequencing, and validation.
• Documentation artifacts, including but not limited to:
  • Conceptual design and technical design
  • Technical Impact Assessments
  • Review and finalized Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
  • Technical Specifications for RICEFW (reports, integrations, customizations, extensions, forms, workflows)

JD:

NextGen PLM+ Data Migration is the end‑to‑end process of moving Item, BOM, Change, and File Vault data from Agile PLM into the new cloud‑based PLM+ platform. It covers base migration for full data load and delta migration for incremental changes. The project ensures accurate data mapping, transformation, validation, and seamless loading into Oracle Cloud PLM+.

It enables coexistence between legacy Agile and NextGen PLM+ until full cutover.
