Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive the migration of digital product portfolios from project/service centric to product centric.
- Scale agile beyond the individual team or departmental level and use the right scaling model to drive adoption.
- Partner with leaders for the identification of value streams/product or platform teams and for the designing of their product team structures using org. design principles and team topologies.
- Drive OKR (Objectives and Key Results) workshops with the Business stakeholders, Product Management Team, IT Leadership, and the Agile Delivery Teams.
- Directly influence leadership (up to executive level) and their teams throughout DTS (infrastructure, applications teams, Strategy/Innovation/Architecture, Cyber Security and Assurance) and business to drive adoption of Product and Agile thinking.
- Directly work with executives (VP and Director levels) in Business and IT to drive Change Management for the Product Transformation.
- Hands-on coaching to key product roles Product Manager, Product Owner and Scrum Master and Scrum teams.
- Facilitate and coach Product and Team level events such as PI Planning/Quarterly Planning, Steerco, Quarterly Business/Product Review, Scrum of Scrums, etc.
- Make recommendations and manage the adoption of tools and technology to drive the transformation (Product Management Tools, Agile Delivery Tools, Maturity Assessment tools, Collaboration tools, etc.).
- Assess maturity of teams and help them understand their baseline maturity and create an improvement plan.
- Monitor effectiveness of the transformation journey and drive continuous improvement to K-C's product management, Agile framework, and practices.
- Provide guidance on how the Product teams will measure outcomes and value realization (outcome metrics, NOT just agile or delivery metrics).
- Own the communications and stakeholder management strategy for product transformation activities - provide regular updates to leadership on the progress of the transformation and define avenues to provide ongoing testimonials / showcase success stories generated by digital agile teams.
- Partner with leadership teams to build talent development journeys for product team leadership roles Product Manager, Product Owner, Engineering, Scrum Masters.
- Partner with Agile CoE Leader to define annual objectives for executive leadership team to support agile transformation roadmap.
- Coordinate and facilitate agile related community of practice activities to enable thought leadership, collaboration and to drive shared learnings across the enterprise.
- Develop agile training materials and process guidelines.
- Deliver hands-on training in classroom and in virtual setting using collaboration tools (like Mural or Miro).
Required Qualifications and Experiences:
- B.S./M.S. or B.E/B.Tech. (Advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field.
- 14+ years of Professional IT experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Coaching Digital Product Managers (not just Product Owners) in Business and IT.
- 5+ years of experience coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters and entire Delivery Teams on Agile Product Delivery.
- Strategic experience (Enterprise-level) of owning and driving an entire Digital Portfolio (Digital Sales/Marketing/Supply Chain/Data & Analytics) from Project/Service oriented to Product Transformation.
- Experience of full product life cycle management of a digital product from idea to launch and maintenance.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping to come up with the Product Value Streams for the respective Product Lines.
- Expertise in Organisation Design Principles and Team Topologies.
- Leadership coaching (VP and Director levels) on Product and Agile Mindset.
- Experience with Agile Product Delivery.
- Experience with any Product Management Tool (Aha/ProductBoard/Planview/Craft.io/Jira Advanced Roadmaps).
- Experience with Agile Life Cycle Management Tool (AzureDevops) is critical.
- Excellent training skills in classroom and in virtual setting using collaboration tools like Miro or Mural (one of the 2 is a MUST HAVE).
- Story Telling - Ability to communicate the commercial story (ROI) of the transformation for each product team you coach.
- Self-driven and ability to operate in the unknown with limited guidance.
- Experience driving execution via benchmarking and performance measurement.
- Expert problem-solving ability and experience leading groups through problem solving methodology.
- Experience coaching agile teams that are dispersed globally.
- Strong Virtual meeting facilitation, business acumen, interpersonal communication & collaboration, training, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Product Management certification.
- Agile Certification (any scaling framework).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Automation/CPG/Retail/Oil and Gas (or any org. that uses SAP or S4 HANA as their core digital system).
- Experience with DevOps and Platform development.
- Nice to have Certifications: ICP-ACC / ICP-ENT / ICP-CAT.
