Job summary

RightTalents LLC is seeking an experienced Agile Coach for a 24-month engagement in NYC, onsite. You will coach product teams, leaders, and stakeholders through Agile adoption and enterprise transformation within MTA-IT, guiding delivery teams toward mature Agile practices.

The role requires a hands-on, consultative leader with 10+ years of Agile coaching and 5+ years of software development, strong change management skills, and credentials such as ICP-ACC, CSP, or SPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/IT/engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• At least 10 years of Agile coaching experience.
• Experience coaching enterprise-scale agile transformations.
• Hands-on change management and cultural transformation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Coach teams on Scrum and Kanban; facilitate sessions and workshops.
• Support enterprise-wide agile maturity aligned with MTA-IT strategy.
• Use metrics to drive improvement and inform decisions.

Role: Agile Coach

Location: NYC NY (Onsite)

Duration: 24 months

Working Hours: 37.5 hrs/week

Job Description:

• The Agile Coach is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and guiding product teams, leaders, and stakeholders through Agile adoption and transformation initiatives across MTA-IT.
• This role requires demonstrated experience enabling and supporting Agile and/or enterprise transformation efforts in large, complex environments.
• It advances large-scale Agile Transformation efforts by promoting Agile principles, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement. The Agile Coach partners with teams to enhance delivery practices, align outcomes with business objectives, and improve operational excellence.
• Key responsibilities include coaching teams on Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban; facilitating training sessions and workshops; implementing best practices and tools; and leveraging metrics to inform decision‑making and improve performance.
• This position operates in a consultative capacity without direct managerial responsibilities, focusing on influencing teams, enabling cultural change, and supporting enterprise‑wide Agile maturity in alignment with the broader MTA-IT strategy.

Additional Skills and Information:

• Bachelor's or a master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• At least 10 years of Agile coaching experience
• Proven experience coaching for agile product transformations in large, complex environments
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience leading enterprise‑wide agile transformation initiatives
• Strong background in change management, organizational design, and driving cultural transformation at scale
• Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent credentials.
