Job summary

NexTech Professional Services is seeking a skilled Business Analyst/Project Manager (BA/PM) in California to lead projects from initiation through implementation. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, documenting requirements and shaping solutions that meet objectives.

You will coach Agile practices, groom backlogs, and guide an autonomous development/sustainment team with a sustainable cadence. Strong communication and cross-functional coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years' experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years' experience or substitute with 9 years+ experience with Project Management.
• Four years' experience eliciting and documenting user requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft 0365, Microsoft Project and GitLab.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through all phases of the project lifecycle: initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Manage scope, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve goals and deliverables.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure timely follow-up on actions.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Manage change requests and assess their impact on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and expectations.
• Serve as primary liaison between business units, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
