Job summary

Capital One's Retail Bank Agile Controllers team seeks an Accounting Manager to drive high-priority projects in support of strategy and vision. You will manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, guiding the controller group as it implements new products, services and systems.

You will coordinate with local and cross-functional teams, lead requirements development, testing and implementation, and champion process improvements while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit or finance.
• CPA license preferred.
• 1+ year of workstream management.
• 1+ year of Agile project management experience.
• 1+ year of experience with Jira.
• 1+ year of experience in product management.
• 1+ year of ERP and reconciliation system experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects in the pipeline from planning through delivery and stabilization.
• Lead and assist in developing, testing and implementing project requirements.
• Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
• Review team's progress and issues during projects, providing guidance to ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to process improvement through project development and knowledge sharing.
• Build relationships with local and cross-organization teams on corporate initiatives.
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
• Facilitate consistent use of Agile methodology for delivering projects.
• Present results, findings, risks and recommendations to Agile Team leadership and Global Finance.
• Coach and develop a team of associates through leadership.
