Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting to join the Controllers Group to manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on Bank Modernization, partnering with finance, product and technology to align accounting processes with new products and money movement capabilities.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or military experience) and at least 1 year in accounting/finance/audit, with CPA preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
At least 1 year of experience in accounting, or finance, or audit, or a combination.
CPA license preferred.
2+ years of banking or reconciliation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own a portion of the Bank Modernization project from planning through delivery and stabilization.
Lead and assist in the development, testing and implementation of project requirements.
Collaborate with multiple teams to build accounting processes for new banking products and money movement capabilities.
Operate within Agile methodology for delivering projects.
Present results, risks and recommendations to leadership with guidance.
Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.
Participate in corporate projects and system upgrades.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and changes.
