Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Manager for the Springfield Pike aggregates operation in Connellsville, PA. You will lead safety, production, quality, and cost-performance, including an underground mine and processing plant.

You will drive reliability, maintenance, budgeting, and team development while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Frequent field presence and travel may be required. Equal opportunity employer with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing large-scale aggregates, quarry, or mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, maintenance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, communication, and accountability.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L ownership, cost management, and operational decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills in a dynamic production environment.
• Underground mining experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems is preferred.

• Foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management, regulatory compliance, and workforce engagement.
• Drive operational excellence by improving equipment reliability, plant efficiency, maintenance performance, and resource utilization.
• Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, production planning, and achievement of business objectives.
• Develop, coach, and support supervisors and employees while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
