Job summary

Cemex US in Texas is seeking a general laborer to support quarry and plant operations, including shoveling materials, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting with mechanical tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform emergency rescue.
• General knowledge of safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Basic math for measurements and quantities.
• Ability to follow simple two-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Shovel muck, stone, gravel, sand from around conveyors.
• Shovel material onto conveyors and maintain clean work areas.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs; procure parts and equipment as needed.
• Operate or assist with plant equipment during assigned shifts.
• Adhere to OSHA rules and wear safety equipment at all times.
