Job summary

WJ Graves Construction in Massachusetts is seeking a plant maintenance technician to support our aggregate and crushing operations. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, and operate a loader as needed.

Responsibilities include running conveyors, screens, and crushers; greasing parts, clearing jams, welding and fabrication; and safeguarding the work area in compliance with MSHA and environmental rules. A valid driver's license and DOT certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Comfort climbing ladders and working around heavy industrial machinery.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, welding, and equipment troubleshooting.
• A strong commitment to following safety rules.

Job description

As a plant maintenance technician, you will support our aggregate and crushing operations by performing preventive maintenance as well as repairs to equipment. This job also includes some heavy equipment operation, such as a loader.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Run plant machinery, including conveyors, screens, and crushers. Monitor plant operations.
• Maintenance & Repair: Grease parts, clear material jams, perform welding and fabrication, fix broken equipment
• Safety Checks: Routinely complete inspections of the work area and machinery
• Follow all company safety policies, MSHA regulations and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain throughout the day

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
