Job summary

Melvin Stone Company is seeking a full-time Aggregate Maintenance/Operator to operate and maintain our modern plant and equipment. The role includes feeding material with a front-end loader, performing inspections, and performing basic repairs to conveyors, crushers, and motors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an aggregate quarry or similar industrial setting, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment.
• Proficient in basic welding and fabrication.
• Strong safety awareness and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader safely to feed material into the plant.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and daily safety checks.
• Diagnose and repair plant equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and motors.
• Use welding, cutting, and fabrication skills to repair components as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition and report issues promptly.
