CalPortland is seeking a Plant Mechanic to safely repair and maintain mining equipment at our aggregate facilities. You will perform pre/post-shift inspections, document activities, and assist plant operations as needed.
The role requires a High school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to provide your own tools. Welding and crane/boom truck experience are a plus, with compliance to MSHA regulations.
The Plant Mechanic is responsible for safe repair and maintenance of mining equipment typically found in an aggregate facility including crushers, screen decks, conveyors, drums, etc. The Plant Mechanic is expected to complete pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, submit required daily documentation and assist in plant operations as needed.

High school diploma/GED
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. For work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
