Job description

Summary:

Morris, Inc. is seeking a driven individual to operate the loader for various aggregate jobs around the company and assist the aggregate crew by performing duties including, but not limited to, those listed below. This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate must prioritize and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper wear of PPE as per company guidelines.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

  1. Keep aggregate piles neat and pushed up properly to avoid waste and segregation.
  2. Load materials, dig excavations, fill excavations, and operate equipment.
  3. Be aware of wear on parts or other irregularities, and report them to the supervisor.
  4. Perform daily maintenance on equipment (greasing, fueling, and checking all fuel levels).
  5. Keep feed trap charged and operating efficiently.
  6. Perform duties of crusher operator when necessary.
  7. Assist in getting the crushing plant running again when it breaks down.
  8. Help monitor the crusher/wash plant operation.
  9. Move dirt, gravel, fill, and dig excavations.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Working knowledge and experience with aggregates and heavy equipment.
  3. Dependable and able to follow instructions carefully.
  4. Physically capable of manual labor and lifting up to 80 lbs.
  5. Valid driver’s license.
  6. Wear proper PPE as per company policy.
