Job summary

Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence and operates in San Jose (Santana Row). This role embeds with our founders and the special projects team to create new agentic harnesses and operating systems for AI-native hardware workflows.

You’ll own problems end to end, working beyond a 9-5 schedule as part of a high-velocity startup. Candidates should have 1–5+ years shipping software, strong full-stack skills, and experience with LLM agents or AI tooling used by real users.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience building and shipping software end to end.
• Strong full-stack skills; focus on working software over perfect code.
• Experience building LLM agents or AI tooling that real users depend on.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the special projects team to identify bottlenecks and own them end to end.
• Build and deploy LLM agents wired into engineering workflows via tool-calling and MCP.
• Ship full-stack internal products from zero to one: interfaces, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Design evals, measure adoption, and double down on the tools that matter.
